Full Stack Developer (m/f/d) for EU project

About the job

For the 2-year MAELSTROM research project we develop the Open Source end-to-end Machine Learning and AI toolkit Mantik (www.mantik.ai). The main application is on HPC for weather and climate analyses, where we supply AI building blocks that can be combined to AI workflows, but also allow users to implement application blocks from sketch. Our AI platform is developed to let users manage and share their personal AI workflows, trained models and data that comes with it in one place.

For our development team in our office in Potsdam (near Berlin, Germany) we are looking for a Full Stack Developer (m/f/d).

Your tasks

• Front-End development and maintenance for user and AI data management
• Support of the development of the backend AI software
• Interactive data visualization tools
• API design and development
  Your qualifications
• Master Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or similar fields with advanced degrees preferred
• 3+ years of professional experience in building frontend web applications and RESTful APIs
• Fluency in semantic HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Advanced knowledge of a backend language, e.g. Python, experience in functional programming (e.g. Scala or Coconut) is a big plus
• Ability to debug issues in a full-stack environment
• Experience with test, build and deployment automation, deally with iDocker and Kubernetes
• Passion about user experience know how to build user-friendly and accessible web applications
• Additional qualifications in the field of Media/Graphic Design is a plus
• Fluent in both verbal and written English, German language skills is a plus
