4Cast GmbH & Co.KG announces that its expert Andreas Speck will speak on the topic of “Planning Wind Turbines in the Digital Age: More Profitability and Speed through Automated Long-Term Yield Forecasts” at this year’s Windmesse Symposium as the start of the long-term yield forecasts at 4cast.
The lecture, scheduled for April 23, 2024 at 09:50 a.m. in Hamburg, will focus on market development, strategic direction and new technologies that are important in the context of on/offshore facilities, their service and operation.
Content of the lecture
The 4cast expert’s presentation will address the delivery of industry-standard long-term yields based on a scalable, cloud-based infrastructure. The ambition is to envision an accurate and comprehensive yield forecasting solution that takes into account large amounts of data and physical models. In particular, park layout and shading effects are included in order to be able to make accurate predictions about the future yields of wind and solar assets. These are particularly relevant for the assessment of profitability and the strategic planning of investments. In addition, attention is paid to how uncertainties can be taken into account in the forecasts and how information on the accuracy of the yield forecasts can be provided.
Contribution to research and development in the field of renewable energies
The presentation aims to stimulate a discourse on how digital technologies and automated processes support the creation of accurate long-term yield forecasts and thus contribute to the creation of prototypes and new ideas in the field of renewable energies.
